WELL WAS I WRONG. These are AWESOME. I am cleaning out ALLL my running / workout shorts and replacing with these, so comfortable, sizing is pretty accurate ( I am a size 10 in old navy jeans and am in between a M-L and went with a L ) and look even better than my over priced pairs. Waistband feels comfortable where it sits on me. I'm 5'5 and 144lbs. Length is perfect and the built in underwear didn't bother me a bit. I don't use the pockets in my running shorts b/c I prefer to wear a belt, but I can see the zipper being useful for some people. It is an awekward angle, but again, I haven't needed to use it.
